Scientific name : Lepus nigricollis

   Description :The Indian hare also known as the black-naped hare, is a common species of hare native to the Indian subcontinent. Hares are larger than rabbits, with longer ears, and have black markings on their fur. They live solitarily or in pairs. They do not dig burrows like rabbits, but nest in slight depressions called forms, often in long grass.  They are herbivorous; feed by grazing on grass and other leafy plants.
